Project Overview 

I&M Bank, Second Ngong Avenue, is a modern banking branch serving individuals and businesses with accessible financial services. The branch operates within a busy urban environment and supports a high volume of daily customer and staff activity.

I&M Bank required a modern security and parking solution to support a secure, efficient, and convenient environment within its premises. As a live banking site, the project needed to be implemented carefully, with minimal interference to daily operations, staff movement, customer access, and general business continuity. 

The project was a new installation, giving RIANA Group’s USS the opportunity to design and deploy a solution that addressed both security monitoring and parking efficiency from the ground up. The client required an advanced surveillance system for full-scale monitoring, as well as a ticketless parking management system to improve vehicle flow, eliminate manual ticket handling, and make parking payments more efficient. 

Initial State 

Before implementation, the site did not have the new IPCCTV and ticketless parking system in place. This created an opportunity to introduce a modern, integrated setup that could strengthen security visibility across the premises while improving how vehicles entered, parked, paid, and exited the facility.

Client Requirements 

I&M Bank Second Ngong Avenue required a solution that could: 

  • Provide full-scale surveillance coverage across key areas of the premises.
  • Improve real-time monitoring and security visibility.
  • Support advanced surveillance analytics for better situational awareness.
  • Include Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera capability for enhanced monitoring of critical areas.
  • Introduce a ticketless parking experience.
  • Reduce dependency on physical parking tickets.
  • Automate parking payments.
  • Reduce traffic congestion at parking exits.
  • Support a smoother and more convenient visitor parking experience.

Solution Delivered 

USS delivered an integrated security and parking solution consisting of an IPCCTV Installation and a Ticketless Parking Management System. 

The IPCCTV system provided advanced surveillance capability, including analytics and a Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera for enhanced monitoring. This allowed the client to achieve wider visibility across the premises and support more responsive security operations. The surveillance system was optimized to ensure that key areas could be monitored effectively and that recorded footage could be stored for a period of 30 days. 

Alongside the surveillance system, USS implemented a ticketless parking management system designed to reduce the need for physical tickets, automate parking payments, and improve vehicle movement at exits. By removing the dependency on paper tickets and manual payment processes, the system helped create a more efficient and modern parking experience for visitors and users of the premises.

Implementation Approach 

1. Initial Client Survey: USS began with an initial survey to understand the client’s requirements, site conditions, operational concerns, and desired outcomes for both surveillance and parking management.  

2. Technical Pre-Installation Survey : The technical team carried out a pre-installation survey to identify the most suitable installation methodology. This step was important in determining camera locations, parking system positioning, cabling routes, installation access points, and areas where work could be completed with minimal disruption. 
3. System Deployment and Configuration: The IPCCTV system and ticketless parking management system were installed and configured according to the approved site plan and client requirements. The surveillance setup was optimized for monitoring coverage, while the parking system was configured to support ticketless use, payment automation, and smoother exit flow. 
4. Testing and Validation: After installation, the systems were tested to confirm that surveillance coverage, camera performance, recording, parking automation, and exit operations worked as expected. 

Results 

After implementation, I&M Bank Second Ngong Avenue achieved: 

  • A full-scale monitoring system across the premises.
  • Enhanced security visibility through advanced IPCCTV surveillance.

Conclusion
